On November 1, 2021, I bought 1 straddle option on Pfizer (PFE) stock expiring in 4 days (November 5)
Pfizer will announce the earnings report for Q3 on November 02 (before the bell)
Also, Pfizer is going ex-dividend on November 4
Expected Implied Move: +/- 4.3%
This is not trading advice. Investments in stocks, funds, bonds, or cryptos are risk investments and you could lose some or all of your money. Do your due diligence before investing in any kind of asset.
Once in a while, I like “playing” earnings trades. As Pfizer is a stock I trade options occasionally, I decided it wouldn't do a harm to add some spice to my options trades.
here is our trade setup:
BOT 1 PFE NOV 05 '21 43.5 Put Option 1.18 USD
BOT 1 PFE NOV 05 '21 43.5 Call Option 0.95 USD
For these trades, we paid 213 USD (before commissions)
Our break-even points: $41.37 and $45.63
We need at least a 4.89% move tomorrow to break even
